About

Katrina Dalli, born in Malta in 1999, is currently based in Brighton, UK. She is an expressive artist known for her use of vibrant colours and rich textures. While she enjoys exploring mixed media, she has recently been exploring the world of digital art. She earned a BA in Fine Arts in 2022 and completed an MA in Sequential Design/Illustration at the University of Brighton in 2024.

Dalli draws inspiration from her surroundings as seen in her illustrations of mundane everyday life and doesn't shy away from heavy topics, as seen in her prints exploring the meat industry. Her practice spans various mediums, including printmaking, digital art, collage, and drawing, characterised by her dynamic use of colour and texture. Her art style is continually evolving and in 2019, Dalli participated in the MCAST ICA festival at Spazju Kreattiv, Valletta. In 2022, Dalli had her photography work exhibited at Kuncett, Valletta. In that same year, she participated in the final year exhibition at MCAST, with her work being displayed at Spazju Kreattiv, Valletta.

Dalli also brings professional design experience to her portfolio, having worked with the UK indie band The Othyrs to create their logo and album cover, as well as completing various private commissions.

In 2023, her work was featured in the Malta Community of Illustrators yearly magazine which was shown at the Malta Book Festival that year. In the same year, Dalli took part in the exhibition for her MA graduate show, at the University of Brighton, City Campus.
